It's been nearly a three weeks since our last incident, which means we'll probably have another Earth-shattering drama of some kind soon. We're even getting a new instructor, which in my experience means that we will have either soldiers or the mafia in quite short order. (Also, everyone seems very excited about the new instructor. What's the big deal?) Hoping for the mafia; I have some very strongly-phrased things to say to them which may or may not involve a blunt object or ten.

My vote, however, goes to Thursday, and vampires. We haven't had any vampires; they've got to show up sooner or later. Perhaps they'll be Canadian vampires, fitting in with our new arrival. I am not sure they exist, but they probably do in some form; of course, I have never met one personally. (Vampires, that is, not Canadians.)

I'm off for a run outside, since it's gorgeous out. Having weather that goes by the actual course of nature is fantastic.

... Well, that's true, actually. Although I rather think the solution in that case would be to send a mutant with the explosive kind of power to deal with it, and if necessary sacrifice himself for the greater good.

Nah, see, the heroic thing is, you fly in, blow up the space station, and escape in the nick of time. Self-sacrifice for the greater good looks good on paper, but it's definitely a last-resort kind of thing.

Well, I did say "if necessary", but I will agree that getting out in the nick of time is a bit more comfortable for the party in question.

Star Wars taught you all this?

Pretty much.

That, and "Always let the Wookiee win." Very important, that.

What in bloody hell is a Wookie?

Eight feet tall, covered in fur, very sore loser.

We seriously need to get you watching these movies.

Oh, that's lovely. These are completely fictional creatures, yes?

Watching them might rid me of the vague sensation that I have no idea what's going on.

Absolutely.

At least as far as I know. I haven't actually been to any other galaxies, but the Wookiee in the movie was a guy in a suit.

You doing anything tomorrow?

Oh, thank every god there is. Wookies rank up there with mole people on my list of things I never want to deal with.

Tomorrow? Beyond trying to break an hour and a half of running (I seem to have plateau'd a bit on that score), nothing much.

Movie afternoon, then?

Running seems to be kinda popular all of a sudden. Maybe I should start, I've been kinda worried I'm getting out of shape.

Yes, let's do that; you've got me quite curious about this movie now.

Well, I don't know about everyone else, but I'm running because I have become hideously out of shape and given the hand life has dealt me, I feel it is strongly necessary for me to be able to both fend for myself and run very fast. Also, the terrain here is very nice, and lends itself to quiet thinking.
