What the hell? Why would I take anything of yours? I wouldn't know where it's been. It could be diseased.

well I can't find my Poe CD because you are appearantly are playing it!

From: [identity profile] x-snowflake.livejournal.com
No, you can't find your Poe CD because you're an idiot and lose your things all the time. I am playing a song by Poe because I downloaded it from the internet. Kitty helped show me how, if my computer skills are in doubt.

so then where did you put my CD?

What part of "I didn't take it, I don't want to catch whatever neurological disease you have" are you unclear on? There's a dictionary in the common room for the big words.

But if you don't drop it, I'm donating all of your CDs to India.

It's in your math book. I told you not to use it as a bookmark but no one ever listens to the irish.

...math book?

but I HATE math! math and physics conspire against me!

damn it.

From: [identity profile] x-siryn.livejournal.com
I know you hate math. That's why you stopped in the middle of your homework, marked your place with your CD and ran off to poke thing with other sharper things.

Silly roomie.

oh yeah. heh.

guess I should finish my homework then so I can listen to my CD again.

That's a totally crazy idea but it just might work. ;) I'll help you if you want.

*blink* So what else is new?

From: [identity profile] x-snowflake.livejournal.com
Nothing. Which is the problem. Don't we have screening for this kind of thing? A background check? An IQ test? Anything? No. It's tragic.

Date: 2005-09-29 01:10 am (UTC)
From: [identity profile] x-rahne.livejournal.com
I take it they didn't do one on you, then.

From: [identity profile] x-snowflake.livejournal.com
I did pass the IQ test. As well as the myriad of other assessments they threw at me. But don't worry; nobody expects you to do anything but cook and play nice. Your spot is safe.

Date: 2005-09-29 01:32 am (UTC)
From: [identity profile] x-rahne.livejournal.com
Are you sure it was an IQ test? In my experience they aren't marked pass/fail.

You were claiming that there weren't any "assessments" and that nothing had changed. I thought maybe you hadn't been, er, assessed.

Date: 2005-09-29 01:36 am (UTC)
From: [identity profile] x-snowflake.livejournal.com
They may not be marked pass/fail, but I'm pretty sure there's a point when you basically fail. I'm going to assume that, having reached your fabulous personal milestone, you can insert your own fabulous personal milestone about pretend-nursing and raw meat here.

I was a special case, more's the pity. They couldn't be sure how much the demons taught me re: reading, writing, arithmetic. Or how damaged I was by the experience. Or whatever. So I got the tests. I'm just saying, more people should have to take them.

Are you not using the punching bag enough these days, Illyana?

The edge of desperation to the snark? Someone's not had an adequate outlet for her hostility lately, I think.

Date: 2005-09-29 01:51 am (UTC)
From: [identity profile] x-snowflake.livejournal.com
Oh, please. I am not desperate. Usually, I'm meaner. And more sarcastic. And things like that. I do not need an outlet for my hostility. In fact, at this very minute, I am not even hostile. So I don't know what you're talking about.

Date: 2005-09-29 01:55 am (UTC)
From: [identity profile] x-cable.livejournal.com
It's a very nice punching bag. You can tape pictures of your least favorite people to it and go to town.

I have too many pictures, and not enough surface area.

This is why you prioritize, kiddo. Either that or plaster the bag with them. If nothing else, all that moving around to make sure you pound the crap out of each and every 'beloved' face ensures a good, solid workout.

Why does everyone seem to think I have some kind of problem with aggression? I don't! I am perfectly, 100% fine and happy and calm and well-adjusted. Just because I think we have a problem with quality control doesn't mean that I want to hurt anyone.

...

I'm not lying.

Go on. You know you want to.

'Tis really no wonder you enjoy life so much.

I enjoy my life fine, thanks. Although I guess you'd know, since we talk so much.

Actually, the thought of that actually makes me nauseous, so let's make it clear that I was being sarcastic. You know, your new favourite talent. Look it up when Clarice is done with the dictionary.

I am recording this for posterity. Rahne Sinclair was just sarcastic. And not only that, but she was GOOD at it! Point to the Scottish contingent!

Sadly, she was also wrong.

Date: 2005-09-29 01:24 am (UTC)

Well, yes, but the point is - RAHNE was sarcastic. This is big progress here. It's like Manuel telling a joke or you hugging someone.

Oh, fine, fine. It was a personal milestone. I'm sure someone can make a banner or something; maybe we could commemorate it with a trophy.

Nope. Was just passing through, figured you could use a cookie. They're those really good choc chip ones.

From: [identity profile] x-snowflake.livejournal.com
Well... sure.

On an unrelated note, are you feeling all right? Is the studying making you feel wonky or something? Because they have pills for that. Scientologists don't like them, but witches should be fine.

Just fine. Been busy, but so is half of this place.

Why? Do I need a reason to offer you cookies? They're not cursed, I promise.

Date: 2005-09-30 04:40 am (UTC)
From: [identity profile] x-snowflake.livejournal.com
Well, I never thought you cursed them. That's silly. Why would you curse cookies. Or do anything else to them. I mean, you'd know I would know. So of course you didn't.

The only thing I do to cookies is eat them. Or use them to bribe Meg. Or offer them to people who seem like they could use them.

Cursing... not so much. And you would know, so yeah, not a hell of a lot of point.

So. Cookie?

HEY!

I tell jokes!

My sense of humor is just a little ... off, that's all. I don't find funny the same things all of you find funny.

Humor is a very subjective emotion.

You're definitely the "pie in the face" sort of funny person, aren't you?
From: [identity profile] x-empath.livejournal.com
Mr Bean is a _wonderful_ little comedy!

And I'll admit that my sense of humor can be a little bit low at times.

Well the way I see it, if we don't get them on our side now we may be looking at some very powerful enemies. Of course, some of them may be surly and disagreeable like you but it's not like we're some sort of haughty eliteist club or anything.

Date: 2005-09-30 02:23 am (UTC)
From: [identity profile] x-snowflake.livejournal.com
Oh, making enemies is so new to me.

Of course, I could always argue that I'd rather have someone stupid trying to kill me than have them living in my space, but complexity always did get you down, and I'm trying out the new, gentler me.
